So today has been a quiet day at home (that's quite normal for me) watching reviews of 'Hi Ren' by Ren and seeing how this work of art affects different people on their first reaction videos. I've lost count of the number of times I've watched it now but still feel the same feelings I felt on my first viewing as it really resonated with me and it seems that I'm definitely not the only one. Also been very moved by the earthquake in Turkey/Syria, seeing videos of the death and destruction caused by the power of nature. Sadness for all the dead and injured and emotional seeing people being found alive in the rubble. How quickly life can be taken away and peoples lives be dramatically changed for ever. It does put my life into perspective and no matter what I have to deal with I should still be grateful for the gift of life that I still have. There are always people less fortunate than me and everybody has their own struggles.
