I'm still here.

Had another short break from blogging, just couldn't convince my body and head to sit down and concentrate on it, even though a few things have happened (some of which I've probably forgotten lol.

So starting from the latest and working backwards (and forwards probably).

Yesterday I finally left the Labour party as a paying member which I should have done months ago. Starmers party is just another Conservative party and some of you know how much I love the tories. But I won't go into politics too much as I know how divisive that can be and having been a socialist (for the nearest label) all my life, I prefer empathy, sympathy and helping people in need more than people being able to make disgusting amounts of money off other people. And I don't believe that you need to believe in any religion for these things to be manifest within yourself, that is ultimately down to us as human beings.

I have also ordered myself a ' Gooseneck Phone holder' so I can take videos whilst driving my wheelchair and leaving my hands free to hold Lokis lead and poo bags in one and to hold my knob with the other (the one that moves my chair obviously).

Also my lovely children, Jake and Livvy have confirmed that they will be visiting me, Dee and Loki over Easter so I am really looking forward to that as we don't get to see each other much at the moment and I miss them madly.

I have also spent three nights without Dee, who flew up to Bury with her sister Suzanne to see her family and old hometown which she hadn't done for over ten years. She's back now after a very emotional few days but also happy with her extended family. She made sure that everything was laid out for me each day and kept a regular check on me by phone at least twice per day. It was lonely here without her and I had to relearn a few self coping skills but I was happy that she got to go away for a few days to do something she had wanted us both to do for years (but she needed to check out how accessible it would be for me and my chair also).

While she was away I was able to apply my new polish (how amusing it is what can make me happy being trapped in a chair lol) to the floor, which isn't really that easy as I have to move my chair around whilst applying the polish from a seated position with only my left hand free to do all the work. But it was worth it as you can see from the photo (the room isn't as big as the photo makes it look)

I've also taken Loki for a few walks, videos on the Facebook page, and I only got stuck in mud in the back lane a couple of times. Once was a real panic time as I was on my own and although if I sit forward on my chair I can push upwards with my feet on the ground, it resulted in my footrests being dislodged and my knob being pulled off. I eventually freed myself but still had to cope with mud coming off my wheels, slowly and little by little over the next few hours. I must be the best floor cleaner (wheelchair based) in Camborne.

Probably forgot loads but at least I've got something shared which I suppose keeps me focused for a short time.
